Sprinkle both sides of steaks with salt. Allow to sit at room temperature for 15 - 30 minutes.
Heat butter over medium high heat till butter is melted. Add in steaks and cook till side is browned. Flip over and spread garlic over the top and sprinkle with pepper. Cook steak till desired doneness.
While steaks are cooking melt butter in small pot. Once butter is melted add in mushrooms, garlic, horseradish and pepper. Heat for a couple minutes then cover. Continue cooking till mushrooms are cooked through.
