Break off the ends of the stalks of asparagus and cut asparagus into three pieces.
Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water till al dente. Drain and set aside.
While pasta is cooking chop sausage into bite sized pieces. Cook sausage over medium heat till browned on the sides. Add in asparagus and cover till asparagus is fork tender and sausages are cooked through.
Add the alfredo sauce into the pan with the sausages and heat till sauce is cooked through. Serve sauce over pasta and garnish with basil.
