Cream the butter and the sugar in a medium bowl add in the orange extract.
In a separate medium bowl combine the flour and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Add in the dried cranberries.
Form the dough into a cylinder log. Wrap with saran and put in the fridge for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice dough into 1 centimeter slices. Place the cookies onto a parchment paper lined pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until edges are slightly browned. Let cool completely.
