Ingredients

1 pie crust

1/2 cup cubed black forest ham

1/4 cup chopped yellow onion

1/4 cup cubed smoked gruyere cheese

3 eggs

1 cup cream

1 clove chopped garlic

1 pinch pepper

1/2 tbsp butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small frying pan melt butter. Add in onion and garlic and cook till caramelized over medium/low heat.

Layer the ham, onion and cheese in the bottom of the pie shell spreading evenly.

Crack the eggs into a medium bowl and whisk together. Add in cream and continue to whisk until combined. Pour into the pie shell and sprinkle with pepper.

Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes until eggs are cooked fully. You can test this by inserting a knife into the middle of you quiche. If it comes out clean then it is cooked completely.
