Pepperoni Cheese Sticks
Ingredients
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp chili powder
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a small bowl for approx. ten minutes till creamy.
Combine flour, oregano, chili powder, 2/3 cup cheese, sugar, salt in a large bowl and stir.
Add the olive oil and yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir till combined. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line two pans with parchment paper or grease.
Heavily flour a surface and knead dough until no longer sticky. Roll out dough into a rectangle until it is 1/4" thick. Cut into strips approximately 2 1/4" wide.
Place pepperoni stick in the middle of the strip and wrap dough around stick and cut off edges of dough. Place on pan with the sealed edges down and repeat till you run out of dough or pepperoni. Sprinkle cheese on the pepperoni sticks and bake for 20 minutes or till lightly golden.
